‎عن أنس بن مالك – رضي الله عنه أن رجلاً كان يكتب للنبي صلى الله عليه وسلم, فارتد عن الإسلام ولحقبالمشركين ، فمات . فقال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم :

‎(( إن الأرض لا تقبله ))

‎قال أنس : فأخبرني أبو طلحة أنه أتى الأرض التي مات فيها ، فوجدوه منبوذاً ، قال أبو طلحة : ما شأن هذا ؟فقالوا : قد دفناه مراراً ، فلم تقبله الأرض

The narrator of this Hadith - Khadim of Rasulullah صلي الله عليه وسلم, Sayyiduna Anas رضيالله عنه - has mentioned a miracle of Rasullullah ‎ﷺ. There was a man who used to write for Rasullullah ‎ﷺ (a scribe). Whenever a piece of revelation would come it would be written down. He became a murtad (disbeliever, he rejected islam). (May Allah save us) and he started to spend time with the mushrikeen. Rasullullah ‎ﷺ said ‘the earth will not accept his body’. After a while, he died. Sayyiduna Anas RA says that Sayyiduna Abu Talha ra visited the place where this man had died. He saw his body unburied and discarded. So he asked the people why. The people said, we buried him many times. Everytime the earth would reject his body and throw him out.

They then doubted that maybe the muslims of the city are removing his body in the middle of the night. So they buried the body with all the might and strength they had, and tried to place the body as deep as they could. The body was still thrown out of the earth. So they left it unburied.

This is a miracle of Rasullullah ‎ﷺ. This is from Allah ‎ﷻ. Rasullullah ‎ﷺ didn’t choose his miracles.

In the Quran Rasullullah ‎ﷺ was instructed to say:

‎وَلَوْ كُنتُ أَعْلَمُ الْغَيْبَ لَاسْتَكْثَرْتُ مِنَ الْخَيْرِ وَمَا مَسَّنِيَ السُّوءُ ۚ إِنْ أَنَا إِلَّا نَذِيرٌ وَبَشِيرٌ لِّقَوْمٍ يُؤْمِنُونَ

And if I knew the unseen, I could have acquired much wealth, and no harm would have touched me. I am not except a warner and a bringer of good tidings to a people who believe. [7/188]

There’s many examples of this. For example had Rasullullah ‎ﷺ chosen, he would not have lost his tooth. It was from Allah ‎ﷻ that this man's body was thrown out from the ground.

There was once a great alim who was once given karaamah (a divine ability) of performing salah upon water. He once fell into a well whilst performing wudhu. He nearly drowned. After he recovered, someone commented, ‘I once saw you praying salah upon the sea but you fell into the well whilst making wudhu’. This is an example of how all miracles are from Allah ‎ﷻ and not the person himself. If the person had chosen the miracles he would have chosen to float on the water of the well too!

We should remember that all miracles are from Allah ‎ﷻ and we should keep reminding ourselves to save ourselves from having doubts. Shaytan is a grave enemy of ours so we should stay alert.

We learn from this hadith, that no one should be proud over their actions. May Allah ‎ﷻ save us. However much work Allah ‎ﷻ gives us the ability to do, we should do. And whatever we can't do we should seek for forgiveness from Allah ‎ﷻ for not being able to do it. This man mentioned in the hadith may have had pride on writing the revelation for Rasullullah ‎ﷺ.

However high status a person reaches, if they have pride then it is useless. Allah ‎ﷻ does not like pride.

Shaytan had such a high status but refused to be humble and follow the order of Allah ‎ﷻ to prostate to Adam as. He was thrown out of the heavens due to his pride.

Hadhrat announced that the masjid would be open for private worship as per the government guidelines between 5pm-7pm. We should follow the rules as set out by the masjid and make sure we are not unwell.

May Allah give us the ability to act upon what has been said

Some duas hadhrat mentioned:

O Allah accept our actions.

O Allah give us khatima bil khair.

O Allah when we die, take us with the nur of iman.

‎اندر آن دم کز بدن جانم بری

‎از جهان با نور ایمانم بری

(Shaikh faridudeen attar ra)

O Allah when you take us, take us with the nur of iman.

O Allah make us go to our graves with the nur of iman

O Allah make us go to aalame barzakh with the nur of iman

O Allah give us the ability to remember to ask for death with the nur of iman
