Summary of the majlis 22 March 2018 Hadhrat Maulana Adam Sahib Hafizahullah What is a hadith qudsi? A hadith qudsi is a hadith in which the prophet ﷺ says that Allah ﷻ has said The following Hadith is a hadith qudsi. It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah ra that the Prophet ﷺ said: “Allah ﷻ says: ‘I have prepared for My righteous slaves that which no eye has seen, no ear has heard and it has never crossed the mind of man. All of that is reserved, besides which all that you have known is as nothing.’ فَلَا تَعْلَمُ نَفْسٌ مَّا أُخْفِيَ لَهُم مِّن قُرَّةِ أَعْيُنٍ جَزَاءً بِمَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ And no soul knows what has been hidden for them of comfort for eyes as reward for what they used to do. [32:17] Entering Jannah will be an ihsan from Allah ﷻ. When there is a young child who cannot walk yet, the child’s parent will help the child walk by holding their finger or hand. The father will praise the child for walking well even just to encourage him. In the same way our salah and our worship is like this. When we go to Jannah we will wish we did more but we will also be happy with Allah ﷻ blessings that he bestowed upon us. اللهم انا نسئلك الجنة O Allah! We ask you for Jannah. To perform salah is very easy. If we can’t stand we can sit etc. At first we were given 50 salah to perform and then the number was decreased to 5. But Allah ﷻ is so merciful that He said even though we pray only 5, we still get the reward of 50. We will understand the importance of salah once we reach and old age and we can’t stand to pray it. Hadhrat Maulana Qasim Nanotwi ra was told by his doctors that he had reached a stage where he should not perform wudhu or it will be detrimental to his health. He would still perform wudhu. Once his shaikh was present when he was performing his wudhu. His shaikh came to him quickly and asked him why he was doing wudhu when he had been told not to? Hadhrat Qasim Nanotwi ra said that he did not feel like his salah was fully completed by doing tayammum instead of wudhu. His shaikh told him not to do this as there is a ruling for a reason to make it easier for us. From this time onwards he did tayamum. The shariah is a mercy for us. Everything is so easy. Whatever you pray and any worship you do in your young age, when you get old and cannot continue it due to physical difficulties etc, you will still get the reward. May Allah ﷻ give us the ability to appreciate these blessings. www.kalimatalhikmah.co.uk
